The IO family of products provide a simple elegant plug-in solution for working with Final Cut Pro on a Mac. A single FireWire 800 cable makes connecting any Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, or Power Mac seamless and provides audio and video capture and record to any format. With the proper FireWire card and external drives, you can even use Aja IO hooked to an Apple laptop for field based editing. IO products are the simple solution for building a Mac-based video finishing system.
DESCRIPTION
Co-developed with Apple, IO products work with Final Cut Pro to provide a seamless non-linear editing experience, with all the features of proprietary systems - but without the expense and hassles. The Aja IO HD delivers powerful video/audio capture, editing and video production in a single, integrated system. Final Cut Pro presets facilitate ease of use and drivers provide RGB support for direct output of Adobe After Effects™, Discreet Combustion™ and Apple Motion™ files to Panasonic D-5, DVCPRO and Sony HDCAM and HDCAM SR. Native to the Aja IO HD is Apple ProRes 422 support for high quality off-line editing on JBODs. This allows a single pass for rough cutting and theaticral screeners.
